OUR PRODUCTION
One of the most important choices when making products is the selection of materials, especially when it comes to sustainability. We take great care to make sure everything we use is as clean and ethical as possible.
We have a boutique manufacturing process, producing in small batches and using only the finest materials. Much of the work is done by hand, and this supreme craftsmanship can be seen in every finished product.
As well as taking into account our products’ impact on the environment, we also consider the environment’s impact on our products. Our materials will last over time, and will withstand wear and tear because sustainability is also about durability.
Our thoughtfully designed products are made with materials that will last over time. We love the subtle changes as they develop patina and we encourage our customers to embrace these beautiful changes.
OUR MATERIALS
Wood
We only use wood sourced from certified sustainably managed forests in Europe and North America. No two trees are identical, and so no two Eldvarm handles are identical either. We think wood’s natural variations should be celebrated. We love the natural beauty of wood and have therefore left some surfaces untreated. These will age naturally with use, producing a beautiful patina over time.
Skilled craftsmanship ensures our wood components have beautiful details, from ripples to hard edges and smooth corners – retaining the connection to the wood in its natural state.
Our wood is always FSC certified.
Metal
Metal and fire go hand in hand. Humans discovered the power and utility of metal thousands of years ago and have been developing its production ever since. The coarseness of metal work may seem at odds with the refinement of our finished products, but when tending a fire you really only have the option of working with metal.
Steel is a durable and sustainable material, making it a natural choice for us. It is robust and gives structure, and can also be easily recycled and reused. Brass has been a consistent defining signature accent for Eldvarm since we launched our very first product. We love the golden detail that solid brass adds.
Our powder coating is toxic-free.
Leather
Leather provides a warm, tactile contrast to the hard metal, while also adding a luxurious feel. We use only vegetable-tanned leather, produced using an ancient tanning technique that harnesses the power of natural tannins. Our leather is carefully hand-stitched onto our products, ensuring a texture that is soft to the touch. This technique produces a leather that has natural variations in colour. The leather, especially lighter tones, will darken over time and obtain that much wanted patina of used leather.
All our leather is vegetable-tanned and chrome free.
Brushes
When it came to the brush bristles, we really think we went above and beyond. We needed bristles that would hold their shape over time, that could properly clean a fireplace and that were not synthetic. When we could not find anything that was good enough, we made our own unique blend!
Our perfect bristles combine 50% Tampico (root of the agave cactus) with 50% horse hair. We chose Tampico for its resistance to heat and ability to keep its shape. This kind of bristle is what bakers traditionally use in their ovens. We also loved the look of old fashioned fireplace brushes with horse hair, perfect for scooping fine dust, so we added that to our mix too.

Successfully placed orders will receive an order confirmation with the order details. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder or contact us for confirmation.
Please make sure to enter the correct delivery address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the provided address. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will refund the original order, excluding all shipping charges and fees incurred as a result of the return.
Delivery Time
Estimated delivery time is, but not guaranteed to, 7 to 10 business days. Please note we are not responsible for shipping carrier delays. Once your order has been shipped you will receive an email from us with a link to track your order.
Where Do We Ship To?
At the moment we ship to EU countries, Switzerland, the UK, Canada and the US (mainland). If you live in any other country, please contact us.
Shipping Charges
Delivery address in the EU: We offer free shipping on all orders over 250 EUR. For orders under this value, you will be shown the shipping cost before checkout.
Return Policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need to provide your order number, sent to your given email address.
To start a return, contact us. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. You will need to send back the product at your own cost, and with a delivery service of your choosing. We suggest you get a receipt and a tracking ID from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to track the return shipment if needed.
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue.
Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. If a shipping cost was applied, this will not be refunded. Please keep in mind it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Unclaimed Package
If a package remains unclaimed within 14 days after delivery, Eldvarm reserves the right to charge a handling fee to cover the return shipping fee and freight companies' administrative costs. Eldvarm will refund the unclaimed packages, but we will not pay back the shipment cost and handling fee.
